7" Hardwood Tailor Clapper Tool Steam Iron Set a Seam Sewing Quilting.
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on November 6, 2022
This is a beautiful, nice feeling and heavy 7" hardwood tailor Clapper tool when ironing and setting a seam. I was surprised to see it was so heavy for being only 7". It works great. It fits the hand, has groves on the side so you can hang onto the piece of wood. It has nice rounded corners on block of wood. It is higher priced then some I looked at but it is worth the quality by.
Perfectly pressed seams!

Wish I had purchased this years ago. Quick iron & then place this on top of fabric…perfectly pressed seams that stay flat!!

I just learned what a clapper was only a few months ago and have been quilting for over 30 years! I've been searching for the best clapper ever since and I believe I found it. It seemed expensive, but made in USA was a selling point. It handles wonderfully and does the job. I use it on EVERY seam I press!

I have several clappers in various shapes and sizes, but the Riley Blake is my go-to tool for quilting. It is smooth and just heavy enough, but what makes this one my favorite is its width. I can press a stack of Hst's or flying geese all at once without having to be too careful about placement. My order arrived super quickly and I will definitely use this seller again.

The Hard Facts About This Hard Block of Wood

I’ll start with a few facts about what the tailor’s clapper actually does (because I bet there’s someone out there that never knew this thing even existed), but once we cover the basics, things will get more interesting… just about as interesting as a carefully shaped block of wood can get.
